Joe DiPenta

('17-'22)   Joe first played for Boston University (NCAA DI) before returning home to join the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL). After being drafted 61st overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Joe went onto play over 500 professional hockey games in the NHL (Atlanta Thrashers, Anaheim Ducks), AHL (Philadelphia Phantoms, Chicago Wolves, Manitoba Moose, Portland Pirates, Syracuse Crunch) and SHL (Frolunda HC). Joe was the first player to bring the Stanley Cup home to Cole Harbour, after winning as a member of the Anahiem Ducks in 2007.

 

('22-'23)   After a successful season with the Halifax McDonald's (NSMMHL) Christian was drafted 120th overall by by the Quebec Ramparts in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft. Christian played 5 seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Ramparts and Moncton Wildcats, totaling 122 points in 303 games played. After his major junior career, Christian commited to Dalhousie University (USports) where he is entering his fourth season. 


 

('21,'23)   ​From Quispamsis, NB, Sarah represented Canada at the 2011 under 18 Women's World Junior Championships before her 4 year NCAA D1 career at the University of Connecticut where she served as captain in her final year. In her time at UConn, Sarah totaled an impressive 77 points in 141 career games. After her collegiate career, Sarah played professionally in Germany for ESC Planegg and currently coaches for the Greenfoot Capitals of the Maritime Major u18 Female Hockey League.

Andrew Sim

('19-'23)   A New Glasgow native, Andrew went onto stop pucks in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for 3 teams (Sarnia Sting, Guelph Storm, Mississauga IceDogs) before returning to play his Canadian University hockey with St. Thomas University. 
 


Bruce Smith / @hmismitty

('17-'23)   Bruce is the Atlantic Director and QMJHL Chapel Coordinator for Hockey Ministries International, a position he has now served in for over 30 years. Bruce is a goaltender, with a career highlight including making his professional debut at age 40 for the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL, serving as a backup to Milan Hnilicka. Bruce also has an extensive resume in coaching, notably serving as the Head Coach for the Kuwait National Team in 1999.   



Joe Smith / @joeysmitty10

('21-'23)   Joe is the Associate Director for Hockey Ministries International, Atlantic Division. Joe played his junior hockey with the Brockville Braves (CJHL) and Woodstock Slammers (MHL) before playing for Liberty University (ACHA DI) where he served as captain his final 2 years. After his collegiate career, he played overseas in Sweden for Ronnangs IK. 
 

('17, '19-'23)   After playing his minor hockey for TASA, Justin went to the BCHL before playing four years of NCAA Division 1 hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Once his college career was done, Justin had the opportunity to play professionally overseas and in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers.

Jeff Cowan

('22)   From Scarborough, Ontario, Jeff is a NHL veteran of 413 games, suiting up with the Calgary Flames, Atlanta Thrashers, Los Angeles Kings, and Vancouver Canucks. He played his major junior hockey for the Guelph Storm and Barrie Colts and post-career, bgan coaching. He spent 8 years in roles with the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL), including head coach.

Alex Henry

('21)   Alex was drafted 67th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft after a stellar major junior career with the Windsor Spitfire (OHL). Over a 15 year professional career, Alex played in 177 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers, Washington Capitals, Minnesota Wild, and Montreal Canadiens with stops in the AHL and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Alex currently works with the Arizona Coyotes as a Player Development Coach.

('17)   Matthew is a Dartmouth native and former Saint John Sea Dog (QMJHL) now under contract with the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League.

 
Autumn MacDougall / @auttiemac

('22)   ​Autumn played 5 years at the University of Alberta (Usports) where she finished with 129 points in 139 games (6th in program history) and won a National Championship in 2017. In 2020 she was drafted 14th overall by the Buffalo Beauts and played 3 years in the Premier Hockey Federation, before signing in Sweden for the 2023/24 season.

 

Liam O'Brien / @OfficialBigTuna

('21)   Liam is currently under contract with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League. Previously, he has played in the Washington Capitals and Colorado Avalanche organizations where he has suited up in 124 NHL games and 382 AHL games. Liam played his major junior hockey in the QMJHL with the Rimouski Oceanic and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, where he served as captain in his final season. 


Chico Resch / @ChicoReschNJD

('17-'19)   Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Chico went on to play over 500 games in the NHL with the New York Islanders, Colorado Rockies, New Jersey Devils, and Philadelphia Flyers. Chico had the honour of winning the Stanley Cup in 1980 while a part of the New York Islanders. After his playing days, Chico served first as a Goaltender Coach and then an Assistant Coach for the Ottawa Senators. Chico then entered the world of broadcasting. Chico currently serves as a team ambassador and radio analyst for the New Jersey Devils. 

('17-'18)   Drafted by the Minnestora North Stars 1st overall in 1978, Bobby went on to play 1077 games in the National Hockey League with the North Stars and Montreal Canadiens, recording over 1000 points. While a member of the Canadiens, Bobby won a Stanley Cup in 1986. After retiring, Bobby served as the General Manager of the Phoenix Coyotes and is a former owner of the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

('22)   Amelia is entering her 2nd season with the University of Calgary Dinos (USports).


Brogan Bailey / @bbailey27

('21)   ​From Lunenburg, NS, Brogan was drafted by the Moncton Wildcats in the 2006 QMJHL Draft and went onto play his Junior A hockey with the Woodstock Slammers where he totaled 176 points over 4 seasons. After his junior career, Brogan played Canadian university hockey for the Nipissing Lakers (USports). He served as the Head Coach & General Manager of the South Shore Lumberjacks (MHL) before joining Hockey New Brunswick as the Director, High Performance & Events.
 

Adam Bateman

('17)   Former Windsor Spitfire (OHL) and Saint John Sea Dog (QMJHL) who went onto play for Saint Mary's University (Usports).

('19)   A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Steven began his junior career in 2009 with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and played parts of 2 seasons with the Storm with stops along the way in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). In 2012, Steven began his collegiate career with Bethel University (NCAA DIII) and made 20 starts his sophomore year. 


Jake Bullen / @jakebullen23

('18, '20-'21)   ​Jake grew up playing his minor hockey in Eastern Shore and went onto play for the Miramachi Timberwolves and Bridgewater Lumberjacks of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MHL). Jake finished his career playing for the Royal Military College (U SPORTS) and coached the Dartmouth Voyageurs of the Nova Scotia u16 AAA Hockey League while also serving as a scout for the South Shore Lumberjacks (MHL). Jake currently works for the Ottawa Senators Sports & Entertainment Group as the Head of Hockey Development.

 

('21)   ​Marc was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft after a successful collegiate career at the Universtiy of Denver (NCAA DI). Marc played professionally for 5 seasons in the AHL (Rochester Americans, Portland Pirates, Binghamton Senators), ECHL (Cincinnati Cyclones, Gwinnett Gladiators, Elmira Jackals, Colorado Eagles), and EIHL (Dundee Stars).


Josh Crooks / @jcrooksie20

('22)   In 2018 Josh was drafted by Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and spent 4 seasons between the Campellton Tigers and Valley Wildcats of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. Josh is committed to Buffalo State University (NCAA DIII) for the 2023/34 season.

 
Luke Dillman

('17-'18)   After playing his Major Midget hockey in Cole Harbour, Luke went onto play for the Lewiston MAINEiacs and Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before finishing his career in Bridgewater with the Lumberjacks of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. 


Alex Drover / @alexdrover14

('20)   Originally from Port-aux-Basques, NL, Alex posted 57 points in 36 games with the Halifax MacDonalds (NSMMHL) in the 2017/18 season and was drafted 10th overall to the Cape Breton Eagles in the 2018 QMJHL Draft. Over 5 seasons in the QMJHL and Western Hockey League, Alex has suited up for the Eagles, Saint John Sea Dogs, Rimouiski Oceanic, and Medicine Hat Tigers. Alex is commited to Ontario Tech University (Usports) for the 2023/24 season.  

 
Rhiannon Ford / @rhiannonford9

('21)   Born in Oakville, ON, Rhiannon suited up for the Brampton Jr Canadettes of the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL) before a 5 year career at Mount Allison where she served as captain in her final season. In her senior year, Rhiannon was a James Bayer Memorial Scholarship Award nominee. 

('17-'19, '22)   Stew grew up playing his minor hockey in Cole Harbour and was drafted in 2012 by the Weeks Crushers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
 

Kenzie Lalonde / @EastlinkKenzie

('19-'20)   Born in Stittsville, ON, Kenzie suited up for the Ottawa Lady Senators of the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL) before a 5 year career at Mount Allison where she totalled 41 points and served as captain in her final 2 seasons. In her 3rd year, Kenzie was awarded MVP based on her performance. Kenzie currently covers the Montreal Canadiens with TSN and does play-by-play for women's international hockey.


Jules-Edy Laraque / @JulesLaraque

('18)   ​Jules-Edy grew up in Quebec and went onto play four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, suiting up for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and Halifax Mooseheads, where he played with Joe DiPenta.  


Annie MacDonald

('19)   From Fall River, Annie played her minor hockey with the Bedford Blues and went onto play with the Oakville Jr. Hornets of the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). Annie was a student-athlete at Princeton University (NCAA DI) studying Public Policy & International Relations and was selected 9th overall in the 2021 National Women's Hockey League by the Toronto Six.

('19)   From Albert Bridge, Nova Scotia, Sarah played for the Ferguson's PharmaChoice Screaming Eagles within the Maritime Major Female Hockey League before playing 5 years at Dalhousie University, serving as an assistant captain for two seasons. 


Clinton Nigh

('19)   After playing for his home town Three Hills Thrashers of the Heritage Jr. B Hockey League, Clinton began his collegiate career with the Liberty Flames of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA DII). As a Flame, Clinton assisted the team to National Championships appearances in 2014 & 2015. 


Troy Ryan  / @TroyRyanHockey

('18)   ​Troy grew up in Spryfield and has an entensive coaching background in the Maritime Jr. A League, University, and with Hockey Canada. Troy served as an Assistant Coach for Canada's National Womens Hockey Team at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where they brought home a silver medal. Troy now serves as the Head Coach for Dalhousie University and for Canada's National Womens Hockey Team.


Graham Schlender

('17-'19, '21-'22)   Graham played three years at the University of New Brunswick and one year at Concordia University of Alberta. After his university career, Graham had the opportunity to attend training camp for the Los Angeles Kings. Graham finished his career with the Coventry Blaze of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) in the United Kingdom and currently coaches minor hockey in Bedford.


Noah Zilbert

('17)   Former Saint John Sea Dog, Gatineau Olympique, and Moncton Wildcat (QMJHL) who went onto play for Saint Mary's University (USports).
